This year team Charlie Brown participated once again in the Wissahickon Valley Relay for Life event held this past weekend May 21 - 22. Our team walked the track for 24 hours and is in the process of raising funds to meet our goal of $5,000. We had a beautiful day, the sun was shining and the music was playing. Lots of games and activities along with a craft fair and even a visit from a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan Rally Towel.
Then at 9pm the lights were dimmed and the names of every luminary dedication was read as we circled the track in complete silence. Many can been seen holding vigil in front of the luminary with their loved one's name on it.
The activities continued into the wee hours of the morning and then dawned a new day marking the end of this year's relay event.
